Gratitude QT — Episode 4. A Psalm Full of Gratitude

Today’s Passage
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Psalm 100:4)

One-Line Message
Gratitude isn’t the result of worship — it’s the gate we walk through to reach it.

Reflection
Psalm 100 shows us how we’re meant to approach God. Just as you must pass through a gate to reach the courts beyond, gratitude is the first step into His presence. We often wait until our hearts feel ready before we give thanks. But Scripture says the opposite: come with thanksgiving first. Gratitude isn’t a reaction that follows once things improve — it’s the posture itself of approaching God. Don’t hesitate at the gate. Open it with gratitude, and that becomes the beginning of worship.

Reflection Questions

  1. Is there gratitude you’ve been postponing, waiting for your heart to feel ready first?
  2. What thanksgiving could open the gate as you approach God today?

Prayer
Lord, let me not wait for my heart to be ready, but come before You with thanksgiving first. Let my worship begin with gratitude.
