Today’s Passage
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 50:20)

Even in circumstances we cannot understand, God was already preparing good.
Reflection
Joseph endured betrayal by his own brothers, false accusations, and years in prison. By any human measure, his life gave him little reason for gratitude. Yet years later, looking back on it all, Joseph tells his brothers: “God intended it for good.” This confession wasn’t possible because his circumstances had changed — it was possible because he recognized God’s hand had been present the whole time. Gratitude doesn’t always begin after we see a good outcome; sometimes it begins when we look back and rediscover God’s presence in what we lived through.

Prayer
Lord, help me trust Your good hand even when I don’t understand my circumstances. Open my eyes to see Your work in the story of my life.
