Today’s Passage
“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.” (Genesis 1:31)

The ordinary day you almost overlooked was, from the beginning, something God called “very good.”
Reflection
On the final day of creation, God looked at everything He had made and called it “very good.” That wasn’t reserved for the extraordinary — it included the ordinary, repeated rhythms of life: the sunrise, the breath in our lungs, the simple gift of another day. We often let these things become invisible to us, too familiar to notice, and gratitude quietly slips away. But seen through God’s eyes, these ordinary moments were “very good” from the very start.
