Today’s Passage
“When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.” (Deuteronomy 8:10)
One-Line Message
The moment we are most likely to forget gratitude is the moment we are finally full.
Reflection
For forty years in the wilderness, the Israelites depended daily on manna God provided. But as they prepared to enter a land flowing with milk and honey — a land of abundance — Moses warned them of a different danger: forgetting God once they were full. It’s a familiar weakness. We cry out to God desperately when we lack, but once we’re satisfied, we quietly forget the One who filled us. True gratitude doesn’t only show up in scarcity — it remembers the source even in abundance.

Reflection Questions
- What abundance in your life have you started taking for granted, forgetting to thank God for it?
- Do you still remember the desperation you felt when you had less?
Prayer
Lord, don’t let me forget You even as You provide for me. Let my gratitude grow deeper, not thinner, in seasons of abundance.
